HARBOUR ROSE BOUTIQUE HAS A NEW OWNER!

One of Lakeside Downtown Kincardine’s most popular retailers, Harbour Rose Boutique, has a new owner. Jaye Boyer purchased the gift store in late February from Gaby Nagy, the original owner. Unfortunately for Jaye, her initial excitement as a new owner was quickly dispelled by the forced lockdown of Covid-19. Only recently, as our community moved into Stage 3 of the province’s phased re-opening of the economy, has she been able to fully operate and re-establish the Harbour Rose Boutique in the local marketplace.

Harbour Rose Boutique has a reputation for unique home décor and gift items. Jaye emphasizes Canadian made products and tries to feature, in many cases, local manufacturers and crafters. The store has kitchenware, bedding, handcrafted jewellery and so much more. Recently she has introduced small furniture items and accessories and the response has been very encouraging.

Jaye is a busy mom with four kids. Her and her family, own a small hobby farm, Boyer Creek Homestead. To have the doors are finally open of her very own business fulfills a deep passion for Jaye. She has been encouraged by the positive reception she has been given by both the local residents and summer tourists.

While the first few months were challenging and starting a new business during a pandemic was obviously a rocky start, the store has now re-opened and the summer tourist season is well underway. Harbour Rose Boutique is well on its way to re-gaining its place as a “must visit” retailer in Lakeside Downtown Kincardine.
